Brett Manning: Best Singing Equipment & Accessories for a Vocal Bag

In this vocal tips video, well known voice coach Brett Manning reveals the best singing equipment that’s in his own gig bag.  For those aspiring artists, these can be lifesavers!

1.  Super-cardiod Vocal Microphone:  N/D767 or 967 are great looking mics that are universal and makes you sound terrific.  These have more front pickup and less rear pickup.

2.  Voice Live TC-Helicon Unit: Empowers you to change things up mid-performance by merely stomping on a button.  Suddenly creates a unique, harmonious sound, or you can create an old school sound like the Beatles sound or other styles of vocal entertainment.  It even allows you to overlap your own vocals over the synthesized vocals.

3.  Personal Humidifier:  Small plastic mask to breathe in steam to moisturize your vocal cords before singing.

4.  “Gig Bag” Foods:  Potato chips have starch, oil and salt, which somehow add lubrication to the throat!  Other items include cayenne pepper (just a little), apple cider vinegar, honey and Stevia for increasing circulation and warming up the voice.  Calli tea is great for vocalists and cleanses the body while turning the body from acid to alkaline for less mucous production.  Brett also uses Sunbreeze for opening up the nasal passages and lungs.

Singing equipment, voice-friendly foods and more are just a few items Brett Manning suggests when singing professionally to help the voice in more ways than one!  His Singing Success training for singers offers many more tips and exercises in detail if you’re ready to learn professional singing techniques.
